These photos are from my childhood, taken sometime in the 1980's. For me, all of these photos evoke a sentimental longing for the past, back when nothing really mattered and I didn't fret over the future or have any regrets about the things I'd done. My parents were divorced before these were taken and, because of child custody laws, I only saw my father (the man in the photos) a few times a month. My dad and stepmom would take me on short vacations around northern california and I remember these trips as being some of the happiest times growing up.
